If someone makes a general comment you can always respond with "Thanks for reading! Come back soon!" If you disagree with a comment one of your readers leaves on your blog, let them know WHY you disagree but don't be defensive.

Be open to joining the conversation and backing up your opinion in an intelligent way.
Remember, you want to give your readers a reason to come back to your blog often, even every day. If you submit quality articles they will continue to come back to the article directory looking for more content from you!
